Mollywood megastar Mammootty has said that the objective of getting his son and actor Dulquer Salmaan married at a relatively young age was to make him more responsible in facing life.
Dulquer has become one of the most sought-after heroes in Malayalam and Tamil films and has plenty of fan-following among girls in Tamil Nadu too. Dulquer, unlike most heroes, was married even before he debuted in films as an actor. In a recent interview, Mamootty has justified his decision to get Dulquer married quite early.
“Marriage alone brings stability and responsibility in a man’s life and it provides him the impetus to make improvements on the personal and professional fronts. Out of my own experience, I decided to get Dulquer married early so that he gains in acquiring knowledge about many things in life. That’s why the early marriage.
“In fact, I and my wife discussed with him about the marriage, got his consent and made arrangements only after he gave a clear ‘nod’ to the marriage proposal. We are thankful to have an understanding daughter-in-law in the form of Amal Sufiya,” concludes Mammotty, who recently became a grand-father when Dulquer and Sufiya got a baby-girl.
