Debutant director Saravanan’s upcoming film ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ has just been awarded ‘U’ certificate by the Censors. The film, produced by director A.R. Murugadoss in association with Hollywood’s Fox Star Studios, is slated to hit the screens all over Tamil Nadu on 16th September.
The Censors, which watched the film recently, awarded it an ‘U’ Certificate, much to the relief of Saravanan. The debutant was obviously hoping to reach out to all sections of the audience and the ‘U’ certificate was surely a positive, first step in the right direction. A beaming Saravanan is now looking forward to 16th September which would mark his foray in the world of films.
Starring Jai, Anjali, Shravanand and Ananya in lead roles, the film is expected to be a breezy romantic story involving the lives of two couples. Debutant music director Sathya is in charge of composing the music and is thrilled to witness the response from the movie-goers to the film’s album which was launched last month. The five songs in the film have been penned by lyricist Na Muthukumar and Saravanan himself.
AGS Entertainment has bagged the distribution rights of the film, which is Murugadoss’ first production venture as well. It is learnt that most of the sequences of the film have been shot with Chennai and Trichy as the backdrop.
