‘Puthiya Manidha’ a rocking opening song from ‘Endhiran’ tuned by A R Rahman which has received more appreciation from the audience. A.R.Rahman has done his best again and as usual S.P.Balasubramaniam is mesmerizing .

Now the latest news on ‘Pudhiya Manitha’, song is that a Rajinikanth lookalike robot has showed immense classical dancing abilities in the song, thankful to ‘Ajeesh‘ an alumnus of the illustrious Kalakshetra and a popular Bharatanatyam artiste in Chennai.

The classical dance expertise Ajeesh has performed Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Kuchupudi and a few contemporary dance forms for the robot’s part in the song, which will be morphed on the screen using motion capture technology.

Ajeesh, who hails from Manjeri in Malappuram district in Kerala, is one of a top dancer in the Indian classical circuit. He had earlier done the classical style dance in Jalsa Jalsa … along with Ilayathalapathy Vijay for Villu and that caught the eye of Kollywood choreographers.

Ajeesh has done over 100 stage performances including a number of solo dance performances in classical and contemporary styles and has performed with famous Bharatanatyam dancers like the Dhananjayans, Anita Ratnam, Lakshmi Viswanathan, Shobana, Vineeth and Sukanya.

Classical Dancer Ajeesh on this song ‘Pudhiya Manitha’ said, “I have performed bharatanatyam, kathakali, kuchupudi and a few contemporary dance forms for the robot’s part in Pudhiya Manidha. The song explores the versatility of the robot in different skills including dance. My part of the robotic dance was choreographed by Vishnu master, an assistant of Prabhu Deva sir. “

“I owe a lot to Shankar sir who gave me this big break and also encouraged me.”, he added.

The last time director Shankar and actor Rajinikanth came together they created magic with Sivaji-The Boss. Hope that Endhiran – The Robot manages to live up to its hype and breaks all Box Office records when it releases later this year.
