Success does have its own pitfalls and it’s not often expected by those enjoying the fruits of their success. Amala Paul’s popularity and stakes in the industry sky-rocketed after last year’s Mynaa directed by Prabhu Solomon and this year’s Deivathirumagal directed by Vijay. Thanks to the back-to-back hit films, Amala has become one of the most sought-after actresses in Tamil now.
She is presently shooting for the final stages of director Lingusamy’s Vettai which has the likes of Madhavan, Aarya and Sameera Reddy as her co-stars. She is also shooting for Elred Kumar’s Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (MUK), a film which pairs her opposite young and upcoming actor Atharva.
A few days back, she had to shoot for Vetta at Chengalpattu. As it happened, she had a schedule of MUK shoot on the same day in Chennai. This put the actress as well as the crew of Vettai in a quandary. Finally, a senior member of the crew gave an idea which settled matters to the satisfaction of both the sides. Want to know what happened on that day?
Amala didn’t take sides and left it to the concerned crews to decide as to where she should go to shoot. Finally, it was decided that Amala would stay at the shooting spot of Vettai and that the crew of MUK would do with a ‘dupe’ of the actress for a day’s shoot. If need be, patch-work could be done at a latter date to make it look convincing enough.
It was also decided that Amala would return to shoot for MUK the very next day itself. This was probably for the ‘first time’ that a ‘dupe’ had to be used due to the busy schedule of an actor/actress in Kollywood!
