Popular Kollwood director T.K. Bose breathed his last yesterday. The director, who had been afflicted by kidney-related ailments for the past some months and was hospitalized for the past 10 days, passed away at 11:00 in the morning.
66-year old Bose, a native of Sivagangai District, is survived by his wife Padma and Thenmozhi, his adopted daughter. The cremation took place in the evening.
Bose has made films like ‘Thirukkalyanam’, ‘Chinnanchiru Kiliyae’, ‘Ennai Vittu Pogadhae’, ‘Rasavae Unna Nambi’, ‘Kavidhai Paadum Alaigal’ and the recently released ‘Kodaikkanal’. He remained indisposed for the post few months due to a frequently-occurring kidney ailment.
Bose developed breathing problems a few days back and was rushed to a private hospital in Vadapalani. Despite treatment, he couldn’t last long and breathed his last yesterday morning. His body was taken to his residence at Ratna Nagar, Virugambakkam. Veteran director Bharathiraja and Velmurugan, joint secretary of the Directors’ Association, visited the departed director’s house to pay their last respects.
