Dhanush is definitely the shining star this Diwali after the box office collections are out, as per the official announcement from distribution boxes in Chennai, Uthamaputhiran tops this weekends collection,58 lakhs in three days from Chennai city.
Now his next project on line Aadukalam which has been in making since 2007, directed by Vettriman with whom he joined hands once more after the success of Pollathavan,is hosting the audio release today(10-11-10), and is expected to hit the theatres on 28th Nov 2010. Aadukalam will also be the first film in tamil for the Vandhan Vendran heroine, Taapsee Pannu, who plays a Anglo Indian girl in the movie.
Dhanush had earlier in an inteview revealed “It is my dream film and I’ve worked really worked hard for as Karuppu, who lives on the outskirts of Madurai and the movie is about a particular community and the crisis within. Director Vetrimaran has done a excellent job and the movie will surely get box-office.”
And when G V Prakash was contacted , he was excited about the audio launch function to be held this evening. “It’s a proper folk album and my first rural album after Veyyil. Aadukalam is a dream project for me in terms of music. Post our successful combination in Polladhavan, director Vetrimaran and I wanted to ensure that the background score of the movie rocked… and well, it’s turned out very well. I’m sure Vetri will make a mark in Tamil cinema with this film, which, I feel, will take Tamil cinema to the next level.” he said.
