Richa is the latest entrant to Tamil film industry from across the Vindhyas. That the actress has managed to land two ‘big fishes’ in her net speaks volumes of her marketing abilities. She is the heroine of the Dhanush-starrer Mayakkam Enna directed by Selvaraghavan. She is also Simbu’s heroine in Osthi, the remake of the Bollywood hit film Dabbang.
The actress has revealed that she lived in Coimbatore for a few years in her childhood before leaving for North. Speaking about her role and her experience in starring in Mayakkam Enna, Richa says “I have been paired opposite Dhanush in this film. Dhanush comes across as a very nice co-star who is extremely cooperative, friendly and understanding.
“He used to help me out in my dialogue delivery. Selva is a perfectionist and I must admit that I had to adapt my style of work to suit Selvaa’s working culture. The film would be a significant one in my career and has shaped up very well. I’m happy to have got the opportunity to work with the busiest brothers in Kollywood in my very first film.
“Dhanush and Selvaa are very different in their approach to work and their styles of execution. I haven’t indulged in unwarranted skin-show in the film. I have done a very suitable character role, which would be liked a lot by today’s women,” concludes Richa.
