Debutant director Dhanapal Padmanabhan hopes his maiden venture titled Krishnaveni Panjaalai would be loved by the audiences for the sheer painstaking effort and hard-work that had gone into making it. The film starring a host of newcomers including actress Nandana who is paired opposite Hemachandran.
Dhanapal recently conducted a workshop for the benefit of hundreds of management (MBA) students to educate them on the nuances of film-making. The workshop was also attended by many leading luminaries of Kollywood. The director has woven a neat script which deals with the lives of cotton mill workers at the Udumalipettai region.
With cotton factories and mills forming the background of the film, it brings out a love story along with it. In today’s IT scenario, people fail to know the ups and downs these villagers have gone through and this movie said to be just the right thing to take the viewers through the struggles and share the happiness of these workers.
Talking about his film, Dhanapal says “I have directed and produced the film based on some moving incidents which took place in and around Udumalaipettai locality; we sincerely hope our effort is recognized by the masses!”. The film has music by Raghu Nandan and lyrics by Vairamuthu.
