The Indian World Cup Squad was finalized recently and cricket maniacs are keeping their fingers crossed this time as they expect to watch World Cup matches in local theaters near them. It has to be noted that earlier the Producer’s Council gave a cold shoulder to theater owners who are making all efforts to please the council now once again.
A private telecommunications firm has also come out with support to this humble request by the owners. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be jointly hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as it kicks off with the opening ceremony on February 17, 2011 and will run from the month of February to April. It will be later followed by IPL Season 4 and elections coming up the cinema industry generally considers this as a dry period for any new major releases.
Considering the fact that theatres are free we guess it would be ‘galatta’ time for families heading to the theatres with their dear ones for a change this 2011.
