After the super-hit ‘Yudhdham Sei’ (has it been announced officially?), actor-director Cheran is busily concentrating on his next project ‘Muran’, which is another out-of-the-ordinary role, just as the one he played in Mysskin’s ‘Yudhdham Sei’. The Mysskin film has earned Cheran rave reviews besides doing reasonably well at the box-office.
After completing ‘Muran’, Cheran would start work on his next directorial venture ‘Adutha Thalaimurai’. The creative director, whose acting instincts keep urging him despite the many setbacks he faced as an actor, says that he would try his best to ‘balance’ his career as an actor and a director.
‘Adutha….’ would be starring a whole set of newcomers as the story is about a group of youths below 25. The hunt is on for the actors and actresses, he confirms. Himself a popular director, how difficult was it for him to be directed by a junior but talented director like Mysskin.
Cheran says candidly that he forgot the fact that he was a director while doing ‘Yudhdham Sei’ and allowed himself to be led and directed by Mysskin as the latter willed. Cheran says that he learnt a trick or two in the art of director from Mysskin. Directors are always good actors and there is nothing wrong in them turning full-time actors, Cheran asserts!
