‘Boys’ Manikandan debuts in Malayalam with Judo Lena

Boys actor Manikandan has grabbed a new thriller flick, playing top hero. The actor wasn’t having much of a Kollywood career, post his Boys. With flicks like Kadhal FM ,Bhayam  Ariyaan and Guruswamy  not generating favorable results at the box office, he decided to shift base to Mollywood altogether.

Manikandan plays the lead role in Malayalam director Mohanakrishnana’s upcoming U-turn.Talking about the project the director tells us, “U-Turn is a new generation action-thriller. Mani will be playing a powerful role here.” Playing the heroine for the movie is actress Lena, donning a cop role. The role was happily welcomed by the Mollywood actress who happens to be a Judo champion in her college days. Providing insight to her martial art skills, Lena reveals that once a guy had made a dirty mistake misbehaving with her. Determined to teach him a lesson, she held the boy by his collar and threw him down to deliver 2 big blows, which he’ll remember for a lifetime.  Even though the movie will be an action thriller, director Mohanakrishnana says, it will have a social message to it. Music for the film is scored by Bijibal.  As far as the story is concerned, there are a lot of twists and turns, suggestive of the movie title itself. Well, Manikandan has a tough co-actress for his Mollywood debut 🙂
