‘Chiyaan’ Vikram is said to have delivered a masterly performance in the role of a ‘person with special needs’ in his upcoming film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’. The film, directed by Vijay of ‘Madarasapttinam’ fame, has the lissome Anushka and Amala Paul opposite the actor par excellence. The film is likely to release by the end of this month.
Vikram’s next film would be ‘Karikaalan’, which would be produced at a huge budget by the duo of Vasan and Parthi under their banner Silver Line Film Factory, which had earlier produced the successful ‘Singampuli’ that starred Jiiva and Divya Spandana in lead roles. L.I. Kannan, the special effects expert of films like ‘Enthiran: The Robot’, ‘Anniyan’, ‘Eeram’ and Suriya’s ‘Ghajini’, turns director with ‘Karikaalan’.
Harris Jayaraj would be the music director of the film which would have Bollywood’s Zarine Khan, who debuted opposite Salman Khan in his home production ‘Veer’ last year, as the female lead opposite Vikram. Pasupathy, last seen in a Vikram-starrer in ‘Majaa’, and Shanmugaraja play prominent roles in the film.
N. Karthik, is the debutant cinematographer in ‘Karikaalan’ while Mahesh, who was part of ‘Bheema’, would be the editor-in-charge. SS murthy would be the art director of the film, which has already gone into its first schedule of shooting in and around the Thalakonam forests.
