Actor Bharath’s upcoming film ‘Yuvan Yuvathi’ (YY) has been awarded an ‘U’ certificate by the Censors. The Censor Board, which recently watched the film, passed it without cutting off any portion of the film or suggesting any changes, thereby making the film qualifying for family-viewing.
Bharath hasn’t had any release since the successful ‘Vaanam’ in which he co-starred with Simbu. The script of YY was penned by noted author S. Ramakrishnan a few years back for the late cinematographer-turned-director Jeeva. The talented Jeeva passed away in Russia during the making of the film ‘Dhaam Doom’, which starred ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Kangna Ranaut in lead roles.
The film was then completed by his wife and the rest of the technicians and went on to become a hit. Director Kumaravelan, who made the successful ‘Ninaithalae Inikkum’ more than an year back, has directed ‘Yuvan Yuvathi’ after making some deft changes in the script penned by Ramakrishnan. The film has Bharath pairing opposite a debutant heroine in Reema Kallingal, a noted model and a beauty queen.
The film is likely to be released towards end-August or early-September.
