Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai screened for writers

Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai

Director Suseendhiran’s next film, titled as ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’ (AK), is releasing all over the State tomorrow (12th May). On the eve of the release of his film, the director had arranged a special ‘preview show’ of the film for the benefit of the journalist fraternity which covers Kollywood news.

Suseendhiran caught the attention of the movie-goers with his debut film ‘Vennila Kabadikuzhu’ more than a couple of years ago. The film, starring newcomer Vishnu and Saranya Mohan and Kishore in important roles, won him appreciation and kudos from the members of the public as well as the print and television media. As if to prove that he could handle city-based subjects too, Suseendhiran made the moderately successful Karthi-Kajal Aggarwal starrer ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ last year.

AK, His third directorial venture, has music by the mesmerizing magician, ‘Maestro’ Ilayaraja. The film is an on-screen adaptation of a very famous short story of the same name, penned by author Bhaskar Shakthi a few years back. As the title amply suggests, the film is about the story of an innocent individual and the horse he so affectionately brings up.
Diminutive Appukkutti, seen in ‘Vennila..’ and ‘Kullanarikoottam’, plays the title role in the film, which features a young horse in a prominent role.
The special show, arranged at the Sathyam Cinemas by Suseendhiran and the producers, was well-attended by many popular journalists and writers including Prabanjan, Na. Muthusami, Gnani, Yugabarathi and Manushyaputhiran.
