AVM Productions, the oldest production house in the country, are producing ‘Mudhal Idam’ starring ‘Mynaa’ fame Vidharth in the lead. Newcomer Kavita Nayar is the ladylove of Vidharth in the film, which is directed by newcomer R. Kumaran. AVM Saravanan and his son M.S. Gugan are the producers of the film, which is AVM’s film after a long time after they made superstar Rajini’s highly successful ‘Sivaji: The Boss’.
A few songs in the film, set to score by D. Imaan, were filmed on the lead pair in picturesque locales in and around Mysore, Ambi, Chikmagalur and elsewhere. Some song sequence have also been shot in and around the scenic beauty of Thanjavur and Kumbakonam localties, it is reliably learnt.
Along with Vidharth, comedians Mayilsami, Appukkutti and ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ fame Mahendran have been involved in a highly hilarious comedy track which runs parallel to the main story. Others in the cast include Ilavarasu, Thirumurugan, Kalairani, Namo Narayanan, Manobala, Ponnambalam and Rekha Suresh. Kishore of ‘Aadukalam’ fame plays a significant role in the film.
Chelladurai is the cinematographer while V.T. Vijayan takes care of the editing work. The duo Dinesh-Ashok Raj is in-charge of the dance choreography while R. Kumaran has taken on the additional responsibility of penning the story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film.
