Arun Vijay was on cloud nine on Sunday when he attented two functions back to back – the audio launch of Maanja Velu and celebrating the success of his last release Malai Malai.
Interestingly, both these films are produced by Feather Touch Entertainments, a production house run by Arun Vijay’s in-laws and A. Venkatesh has wielded the megaphone for both films.
Lyricist Vaali released the audio CD of Maanja Velu while director K.S. Ravikumar received it. Tollywood sensation Mani Sharma has scored the music for Maanja Velu.
Apart from Arun Vijay’s family, Producers’ Council chief Ramanarayanan, secretary Sivasakthi Pandian, director Shakthi Chidambaram, actors Karthik, Shaam, Srikanth, Sundar C., Jai, Sibi and proudcer M. Hemanth were present at the events.
Like Malai Malai, Maanja Velu is also expected to be a neatly packaged commercial movie which should repeat the magic again. ‘Maanja’ is the mixture of glass powder and other ingredients coated on the string of a kite. It is used to cut the strings of rival kites, but if handled wrongly, it can cut you. This forms the basic plot. Karthik, Prabhu, Ganja Karuppu, Santhanam and others form the supporting cast. The film is expected to grace screens on April 14.
