Archana debuted as the heroine in last year’s S.A. Chandrasekaran-directed ‘Veluthukkattu’. Notwithstanding the pre-release hype and the grand audio-launch, the film flopped at the box-office. Not finding much offers her way, Archana was finally relieved when she was signed up to play the heroine in ‘Shanthi Appuram Nithya’ (SAN).
SAN is said to have been made not dissimilar to the film ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, which marked director Selvaraghavan’s debut film (it was also actor Dhanush’s first film) almost a decade back. The film, despite its explicit content and dialogues, carried a telling message and was well-received by the audience.
‘SAN’ stars newcomer Maha Adithya and Archana and reportedly has some ‘intimate’ sequences between them besides some kissing frames. Content-wise, the film is reportedly on par with Hollywood standards and has created a lot of buzz in the industry prior to its release.
The producer has managed to get over 80 theaters to release the film which will release in the near future.
