Aravaan

The release of Vasanthabalan’s Aravaan has been prolonged once again. Cleared with a clean U certificate and expected to make it to halls on February the 24th, this delay comes as a downer for many. The February 24th announcement came after Aravaan producer T. Siva came out in the open saying that he dint want to suffer any losses releasing the film amidst the stiff Pongal competition.

Now there are fresh updates that the period flick will be released on March 2nd.  Producer T.Siva confirmed the news saying, “Aravaan will be screened on March 2nd at theaters across the state.” Udhayanidhi Stalin, who has a liking towards offbeat movies, did enjoy a special screening of Aravaan recently. He was awestruck with the screenplay and applauded the performance of the director and his actors Aadhi, Pasupathy and Dhansika.. Udhayanidhi says, “Congrats to director Vasanthabalan sir, Producer T Siva sir and the whole team!.” Aravaan is based on a novel titled Kaval Kottam authored by Su. Venkatesan. The novel also won last year’s prestigious Sahitya Academy award, assuring a good script to look forward to. Aravaan has popular singer Karthick making his debut as a composer, receiving appreciation by Isai Puyal AR Rahman himself.

A week delay for Aravaan is manageable, hope the dates don’t roll out any further.
