Kollywood composer AR Rahman is finding new international fans and fame too. Juggling between his recording session in Los Angeles and Chennai, the Oscar winning composer has Mani Ratnam’s Kadal and Rajinikanth’s 3D offering Kochadaiyaan coming soon. Now we hear Pop diva Madonna(Madge) too wants a bit of Rahman.
“I would like to work with him when the opportunity comes, and things work out. Only then we will be able to decide on the music,” says Madge. The renowned singer along with her ex husband Guy Ritchie has been to India, visiting Udaipur and Jaipur with their kids back in 2007. Listening to Rahman’s music has rekindled her love for everything Indian. Though she is desperate to work with the double Oscar composer, Madge did have a little confession to make saying, “I haven’t heard a lot of Indian music, but I’m familiar with it.” Having already worked with the likes of Mick Jagger (lead vocalist Rolling Stones), Damian Marley (Bob Marley’s son) and Dido, the composer is gearing up for his new Hollywood album ‘People Like Us’ releasing this June. On knowing that Madonna wanted to work with him, Rahman sent out his greetings personally, saying, “Anytime… You are welcome, Madonna ji…” We sure would love to hear a duet from Rahman and Madonna on their come together album.
