Director Ameer has been making his upcoming film Aadhi Bhagavan for almost the past couple of years. The film stars the talented ‘Jayam’ Ravi in dual roles. Stunning Neetu Chandra has been cast opposite Ravi as his heroine in the film. Neetu, who did the ‘item number’ Kannitheevu ponna… in the film Yudhdham Sei with Ameer, struck a bond with the latter and as a result, landed up the heroine’s offer in his film opposite Ravi.
Ravi, who had grown lengthy beard for his role in the film, had shaved it off to star in Prabhudeva’s Engeyum Kaadhal. Ravi has since grown the beard back and is now very determined to complete the shooting of Aadhi Bhagavan at the earliest before committing himself to star in other films.
In the meantime, Ameer landed up an unexpected offer to star as hero in veteran director Bharathiraaja’s upcoming film Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. Ameer would be playing the lead role in the film opposite Iniya and has stepped into the shoes of actor-director Parthiban. The first schedule of the film has just been completed amid reports that Ameer’s Aadhi Bhagavan may get delayed further.
Ameer, though, has reportedly told Bharathiraaja and got permission to shoot the final schedule of Aadhi Bhagavan at a terrific pace. As such, the shoot is likely to commence today and would be wrapped up in record time. Ravi, on his part, would go back to his roots and would be playing hero in a home production for the umpteenth time in a film directed by elder sibling ‘Jayam’ Raja.
