Thanks to his character in the successful film Ko which released early this year, actor Ajmal has become a busy actor with many film offers in his kitty. For the first time in his career, he now plays dual role(s) in his upcoming film titled Karuppampatti. The script of the film has been set in such a manner that both the Ajmals won’t be coming face to face with each other almost throughout the film!
He is all set to make his debut in Telugu with a significant role in a film titled Rachaa which has Ram Charan Teja in the lead. He had also got the green signal from the director to dub in his own voice for his character in the film. The climax sequence of the film, a lengthy one involving Ram Charan and Ajmal, was recently shot in Chennai. Ajmal reportedly okayed the sequence requiring him to speak a 3-page long dialogue in a single take, thereby surprising the crew and the director.
Speaking about Rachaa, Ajmal says “I have put in a good effort into my character in the film. It’s an action-oriented film. Alan Amin, who has choreographed stunt sequences in many hit movies in Bollywood, has choreographed the stunt sequences in this film. The stunts would be novel as well as enthralling.
“In particular, there was an unforgettable incident while we were shooting near the railway tracks. As per the sequence, I and Ram had to run fast along the track in a hot chase. Even as we were running frantically, a scooter-born man unaware of the shooting, entered the scene. Both of us didn’t expect this yet w didn’t stop running and continued and completed the sequence. It was a miracle that we didn’t dash with the scooterist,” Ajmal recounts the thrilling climax.
