Actor Ajith’s upcoming film Billa-2 may not be releasing on 1st May (the actor’s birthday) and might just get postponed by a couple of weeks due to ‘technical’ reasons, it is informed. Ajith is presently in the final stages of shooting of his Billa-2, a sequel to his highly successful Billa (2007) which was the remake of a super-hit Rajini film of the same titled in the early eighties.
The delay is attributed to the recent strike by FEFSI employees and other film-related bodies which went on for close to a month. The shoot of many films were affected due to the strike. Producer Khetarpal has informed that they are planning to release the film in the second fortnight of May.
Directed by Chakri Toleti (of Unnaipol Oruvan fame), the film is a sequel to Billa but is actually a script where the story goes back in time to trace the origin of the dreaded don Billa to find out what made him so. The audio-launch of the film, which has music by Ajith’s favourite Yuvan Shankar Raja, is likely to be held on 25th April.
