‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar has said that he had high regards for superstar Rajinikanth and has the superstar’s name after his parents’ names on the list of persons revered by him.
Commenting on many issues, Ajith said that he was not to be blamed for the fact that he couldn’t work with directors like Bala, Gautham Menon and Vishnuvardhan. “Everything depends on one’s luck…if something is bound to happen, it would surely happen and vice-versa. I disbanded all the fan clubs operating in my name so that these youths can devote more time in shaping their careers for their own sake and for their respective families.
“Enough if they come to the halls to watch my movies; no need to waste their precious time. I spoke to Rajini Sir recently. He is a true phenomenon…After my parents, I almost see him as a living God and want him to be happy and smiling at all times,” Ajith has said during the course of his interview to a leading regional weekly.
When asked about his opinion about the change of guard in Tamil Nadu, Ajith diplomatically said “Casting vote is my democratic right and I have been performing it without fail for the past many years. As per the people’s wish, isn’t it only natural that they give the other political outfit a chance to prove its worth in ruling the State?
“My personal political views would always remain with me; If it comes out, I’d be branded and accused of taking sides!” concludes Ajith.
