Though he doesn’t like to be addressed by prefixing any ‘tag’ to his name, the title of ‘Ultimate Star’ refuses to part with Ajith. His fans still refer to him by the title and don’t like it when others don’t ‘reciprocate’ the gesture. After completing the shooting schedule of his upcoming landmark 50th film ‘Mankatha’, Ajith is now putting his body to some tough ‘grind’ to be in shape for his dream project ‘Billa-2’.
Ajith has reportedly told Venkatprabhu (director of ‘Mankatha’) that he won’t be able to take part in the audio-launch of the film as and when it is held as it would ‘distract’ him from his preparations for ‘Billa-2’. The film is crew is likely to acquired ‘Red Epic’, the state-of-the-art digital camera to be used to shoot the film. Red Epic has been widely used in Hollywood for more than 30 movies including films under the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series.
R.D. Rajasekar, who was recently signed up as the cinematographer of ‘Billa-2’, would be leaving for U.S. in a day or two to learn more about how to use the most modern digital camera and the nuances of operating it in various atmospheres. Ajith has already started his preparations by attempting to shed some extra kilos that he had deliberately put on for his role in ‘Mankatha’.
Instead of continuing from the successful ‘Billa’ (2007), the script of the sequel ‘Billa-2’ has been innovatively thought of as it would seek to unearth the reasons behind a Tuticorin-based commoner David’s transformation into one of the most dreaded dons. Chakri Taloti, whose claim to fame is the Kamal-starrer ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ would be directing Ajith in ‘Billa-2’.
Besides Mumbai’s hot model Huma Qureshi who pairs up opposite in the film, the film has a couple of beauties in Vimala Raman and Sudhanshu Pandey to up the glamour quotient!
