The Cannes International festival saw the presence of many Indian celebrities walking the Red carpet. Regular Aishwarya Rai, who was in news for her double chin and post pregnancy weight, attended the international festival as part of the AmfAR Cinema Against Aids gala event. Aishwarya wore a golden Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensemble, attracting the shutterbugs with her new looks.
Model Huma Quereshi, representing her Gangs of Wasseypur (GOV) team did pose for a photocall at the JW Marriot. She was part of Billa 2 early on but was swapped in place of Miss India World Parvathy Omanakuttan. Huma makes her Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap’s GOV. She sparkled in her flowing black robe, accompanied by her director, present for the screening of GOV at Cannes. The film is India’s first ever mainstream flick to make it under the Director’s Fortnight section in Cannes, directed by Anurag Kashyap. It’s story is set around the coal mafia and is told in two parts. Just married actress Reema Sen too has a key role to play, posed dressed in a purple gown. Don’t they look beautiful!
