Aishwarya Dhanush would be introducing a rank newcomer as music director in her first-ever directorial venture starring her husband Dhanush in the lead. The newest entry into the world of music is Anirudh, who has worked under many music directors as their assistant in the past.
It was said earlier that G.V. Prakash Kumar, nephew of music wizard A.R. Rahman, would be scoring the music for the film. GVP and Dhanush have formed a successful association in films like ‘Polladhavan’ and the award-winning ‘Aadukalam’.
It now turns out that GVP was too busy to ‘spare’ dates for the Dhanush-starrer, which is as yet untitled and would have Amala Paul as his heroine. Speaking about his choice of Anirudh as music director, Aishwarya said “Anirudh is extremely talented. He has already composed a song and work is on for composing other songs as well. I’m sure Tamil films have got one more talented music director in the form of Anirudh!”
The film is likely to be produced by Kasturi Raja, Aishwarya’s father-in-law. Murali Manohar, one of the producers of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Rana’, would be the associate director of the Dhanush-starrer.
