Media One Global, which produces Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan, had earlier produced the Aarya-Shriya Saran starrer Chikku Bhukku. It is now released in Telugu in its dubbed version. The film, which marked the Kollywood entry as heroine of Preetika Rao (younger sibling of Bollywood’s Amrita Rao) and had a good enough script, did reasonably well in Tamil but wasn’t a super-duper hit venture.
Manadesam Movies, owned by Ashok, has taken up the dubbing rights of the film and has arranged for a grand audio-launch of the film on 4th May at Hyderabad. Aarya, Shriya Saran, Preetika Rao, the music-directors duo of Hariharan and Leslie and the film’s director Manigandan are expected to make it to the event.
Vennilakandi has penned the dialogues for the Telugu version while Chandrabose, Bhuvanachandra and Vennilakandi have penned the lyrics of the film. Playback singers like Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Adnan Sami, Sujatha, Rahul Nambiar and Benny Dayal, who sung for the Tamil version, have sung for the Telugu version too.
The film is likely to be released all over the State in the first week of June. Meanwhile, Manigandan is likely to make the announcement about his next venture in the days to come.
