More and more film stars have been in real estate business and have also been procuring lands and residential houses to invest for the future. Not all the dealings come to light and appear in the press. Actor Aarya, who recently floated his own production house to make films in Tamil, becomes the latest celebrity to acquire a property in Chennai.
Aarya has reportedly secured a palatial house (said to be measuring 2,000 sft) in Chennai’s ‘heart’ in Nungambakkam locality. He got actress Nayanthara to attend the ‘grihapravesam’ and light the traditional kuthuvilakku. Usually, as per Tamil culture, either the (female) head of the family or the girl/woman who is about to get married and become the daughter-in-law of the family, lights the traditional lamp in a new house.
Nayanthara has now put behind the ‘Prabhudeva’ episode in her life and is freely mixing with her co-stars and friends. She is said to be in talks to sign up two Tamil films opposite leading stars. Her hesitation to visit Chennai, which was tangible earlier, seems to have disappeared altogether. Aarya’s relatives and a few friends attended the function held a few days back.
Aarya wanted his “good friend” Nayanthara to light the kuthuvilakku which the actress promptly did in front of the guests assembled.
Aarya has denied that he has secured a new house and said that he had only renovated an old set-up.
