Kamal Nayan is on cloud 9 these days. His effort ‘’Aanmai Thavarel’ under his banner Red Head Entertainments is successfully certified as U/A by the Censor Board, he has received appreciations for handling a social theme like this.
We decided to get into the scheme and explore a little bit.
Kamal Nayan mentioned, “We wanted the film to reflect on an issue that is affecting the society. And we also wanted to offer a solution to it. At a time when kidnapping of children is hogging the headlines, this movie talks about the same.”
And director Kuzhandhai Velappan who is making his debut with Aanmai Thavarel says, “Though India is the seventh largest country in the world. It is the eighth most unsafe place to live. This propelled me to make a script and we are elated when Censor officials gave us a pat watching the movie and said the attempt is very genuine.”
That’s something special.
It is an action-love story that travels from Chennai to Goa. The film maintains a perfect dose of social message which it is marketed for and elements of comedy and romance have also been taken care of.
Kuzhandhai Velappan a big fan of Ace director Mani Ratnam says, “I will continue to do films that are useful and productive for society.”
‘Aanmai Thavarel’ has a cast of former model Dhruva and the heroine is Sruthi both debutants, Sampath, Dharan, Panchu Subbu (brother of Arya in ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ plays villain) and John Vijay .The music for the same is by Mariya Manohar, which has been gathering a lot of attention lately while Karthik Netha has penned the lyrics. Arabindhu Saraa, a former assistant of MS Prabhu is the cameraman.
Let’s hope the cast of debutants have a good stint with this one and are successful in expressing their social message.
