The remake of Ghajini in Hindi, had Bollywood calling for Asin. The actress who makes it a point to attend every Bollywood party these days, has signed up multi-crore projects, her recent hit being Housefull 2.Ghajini was a commercial hit for Aamir Khan too, playing the protagonist in the Hindi remake.
Aamir who has shifted to the small screens hosting Satyame Jayate, is keen to do one more Kollywood remake. He has found his producer in Sri Devi’s husband Boney Kapoor, as they join hands to remake Trisha’s hit film Abhiyum Naanum. The original had Prakash Raj playing the doting father to his daughter Trisha. Prakash who produced and acted in the film will now direct the remake version in Hindi. Aamir steps in place for Prakash for the father’s role. The film had an emotional tale to tell, on the father daughter bond, bagging Tamil Nadu State awards for Best actress and Best director (Radha Mohan).In 2010 it was remade for the Kannada market titled Naanu Nanna Kanasu. Trisha who debuted in Bollywood through Khatta Meetha, is yet to confirm her participation in the Hindi remake of Abhiyum Naanum. If she does, she sure has lady Asin for good company.
