Actor Aadhi is unfazed by the fact that his last film ‘Ayyanar’ opposite Meera Nandan, billed as an action venture, didn’t do well at the box-office. The actor, who debuted as hero in director Sami’s off-beat film ‘Mirugam’ more than three years ago, made a strong comeback through debutant director Arivazhagan’s ‘Eeram’ more than an year ago and counted a lot on last year’s ‘Ayyanar’.
Poorna, the Asin-lookalike, was once described by actor Vijay as the ‘next Asin’ of Kollywood. The heroine was spotted last year in debutant director Sudha’s ‘Drohi’ opposite Srikkanth. She has reason to feel disappointed because she has been patiently awaiting the release of her films in ‘Vithagan’ opposite R. Parthiban, ‘Arjunan Kaadhali’ opposite Jai (of ‘Subramaniapuram’ fame) and another film titled ‘Naran’.

Poorna strongly believes that all the above-said films, besides her upcoming film ‘Aadu Puli’ opposite Aadhi, have the potential to do well at the box-office. ‘Aadu Puli’ is her first assignment opposite Aadhi which is produced by Global Infotainment. The script is said to be an interesting one and spread over three generations. The on-screen chemistry between Aadhi and Poorna is too good, Unit sources assert.
The movie’s cast includes veteran actors Ravichandran and K.R. Vijaya, Prabhu, Anupama, Suresh and Yuvaraani. Vijay Prakash, an erstwhile assistant of K. Bhagyaraj and Puri Jagannath, makes his directorial debut with ‘Aadupuli’. The film is likely to be released on April.
